We just had the most amazing trip through the jungle in Umphang. The trip was super well organised and just a magnificent experience. Swimming in the waterfalls and staying the night in the Karen village, it doesn’t get more Thailand than this. We were there just before everything closes up before the heavy rainy season (early June) and had the whole place for ourselves. Nobody else on the river or at the waterfalls. We loved it! Thank you so much to the team who took such good care of us, cooked such good food and thought of us so much.

Had an adventurous, authentic, and amazing trip with the staff at Umphang Adventures. We saw the Thi Lor Su waterfall and another much more private waterfall near the Karen Village on the 4 day/3 night experience. Meals prepared for us were all delicious and the staff was graciously communicative with every detail in planning. Highly recommend this trip!

As a solo traveller during low season it was difficult to join a group, but Patcha made everything possible to tailor a trip for me on my 2 available days of travel. The whole staff I met during my stay was amazing, I found a charming atmosphere and their kindness was outstanding. The local food cooked was huge and so delicious, taking care of my little spicy request. The tour itself is a real adventure in the middle of the forest, the guides are professionals, well prepared, speaking good ebglish, and always do their best to make you feel comfortable and safe. It’s impossible not to enjoy every single moment of the journey, no words can describe the fascination of the wild, the environment is unique and the far distance from the crowded big cities made this trip even more worthfull! My 2 days were not enough, next time I’d like to go well beyond to explore even more with this fantastic team! Thank you!

From the very first moment we felt welcome and comfortable. Everything was done to make the trip an unforgettable experience for us. The guide and the cook were terrific. When we told the cook that we like spicy food, he took that immediately into account. The guide explained a lot of things about plants and how people live in the mountain village. His English was good enough. We enjoyed every second of this adventure. If you like nature and hiking, you will not be disappointed. We thank the complete team for a great trip.

We went with 2 friends and had 2 guides with us. We loved this tour, it’s one of our favorite things about Thailand. It takes a bit of time to get to Umphang but it’s worth it as the area is very beautiful. We were pretty much the only tourists in the places we visited. Thank you to the whole team for this experience.

We had 4 fantastically impressive days on the Thi Lor Su-explorer tour with wonderful views from the rubber dinghy, 2 impressive waterfalls including swimming in them, great hikes – some quite challenging but easily doable. Our two guides were super nice and we laughed a lot. We would recommend this trip again and again to anyone looking for a special adventure away from the main tourist routes.

Wir hatten ein tolles, außergewöhnliches, abenteuerlichen Erlebnis mit wunderbarem Rafting auf dem Fluss Mae Sok ein toller Besuch an 2 Wasserfällen inklusive Schwimmen und Erfrischen und ganz tollen Wanderungen durch tolle Landschaften, teilweise nicht ganz einfache Wege. Wir hatten zwei supernette guides mit denen wir viel Spaß hatten. Immer wieder gerne!!!!

Amazing trek in the jungle, super one night staying with a family in Kota village and discovering their life and places! Out of the routes of commercial journeys, we had the pleasure of a good organization!!

Now we are back home and think back to a great trip in Thailand. An absolute highlight was the “Thi Lor Su Explorer”. We had exciting days, which started with an adventurous journey in a pick-up (meant is the kind of car, – pick-up) bus from Mea Sot to Umphang. The hikes were demanding, but doable for normally fit people. Bathing in the waterfalls without any other people around was very refreshing and exiting. The company of the guide was very friendly, helpful and always explained us something about nature and culture. I recommend these tours for people who have a desire for adventure off the classic tourist trails. We did this tour as a family with our 16years old son.

We are now back after a month trip around Thailand. This tour was one of the best experiences in our tour. It was very personal and unique experience off the beaten path. It’s a bit tricky to get to, but the drive is scenic and enjoyable, and Umphang adventures help you in any way they can to get there and to leave (on time for your next adventure). Even though it was outside the trip, Patcha helped us book bus tickets to our next destination, which made our lives, so much easier. Our guide Kwao was super friendly and informative about the area, flora and fauna, and made us some nice food on our journey. The visit to the Karen village was very interesting, and swimming in the waterfalls was refreshing and fun, albeit a bit cold. Overall, we would definitely recommend making some time getting to Umphang and having an adventure with Umphang Adventures!
